The Sambodh Centre for Living Values
in the outskirts of Bangalore is a project of Sambodh Foundation Bangalore. The profile of Sambodh in Bangalore includes a variety of social and spiritual programs with focus on charity work, rural uplift, ecological and spiritual values, and holistic living. Sambodh Foundation has also been actively engaged in designing a number of management programs pursuing excellence in leadership based on Indian wisdom traditions.

A group of women and men dedicated to the vision of an integrated holistic life style incorporating social commitment and ecological living bringing modernity and tradition into a healthy sustainable harmony.

The Sambodh Centre for Living Values is situated in the quiet and serene land of 8 acres in the outskirts of Bangalore.
The peaceful and green environment here gives an ideal setting for the hub of Sambodh programs.

Medical Camp
In connection with the GuruPurnima celebrations of this year, the first free medical camp was organised by SCLV for the poor villagers on 13th July 2008. Many poor men, women and children turned up for the free check up and diagnosis.

Dr RN Chakrabarthi was the Consultant doctor who gave his free services and patiently addressed to each patient's case.

Programs focusing on Gender and Women's awareness, self-employment and empowerment ·
Provide nutritious meals and health programs for children and pregnant women·
Set up an Ashram with vocational training center, old age home, a home for abandoned children and widows·
Set up free community health center· Maintain a Gosala ·
Experiments in dry land and organic farming, social forestation, develop alternate energy sources ·
Set up a Management Studies center focusing on Indian management styles, rural management and excellence in leadership·
Set up a school for Veda, Vedanta and Yoga studies· Educational institutions for poor children·
Set up a Holistic Healing Center·
Foster a community of dedicated people inspired by the above ideals.
One of the major programmes regularly organised is the supply of free food and educational support for extremely poor children. Every Saturday we feed the poor students of the Govt school at Amruth Nagar, Hebbal. They are also supported with support materials like books, school bags, clothes and so on.

This year onwards we have started giving modest annual support to bright but underpriviliged, poor school students. Until now we have given 5 such scholarships.

The immediate tasks of Sambodh are centered around the development of the village community in Doddaballapur.The charity work of Sambodh is supported exclusively by your generous donations.
